1	Did you review the Seat Belt System Description and Operation and perform the necessary inspections?	Go to Step 2	Go to Symptoms - Seat Belts
2	Turn ON the ignition, with the engine OFF. Monitor the fasten safety belt indicator while buckling and unbuckling the driver seat belt. Does the system operate properly?	Go to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections in Wiring Systems	Go to Step 3
3	Buckle the driver's seat belt. With a scan tool, observe the Driver Side Belt Status parameter in the SIR scan tool data list. Does the scan tool indicate that the Driver Side Belt Status parameter displays Buckled?	Go to Step 4	Go to Step 5
4	Replace the IPC. Refer to Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC) Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gages, and Console. Did you complete the replacement?	Go to Step 8	-
5	Turn OFF the ignition. Disconnect the inflatable restraint sensing and diagnostic module (SDM) connector. Refer to Inflatable Restraint Sensing and Diagnostic Module Replacement in SIR. Disconnect the seat belt switch - LF connector. Test the seat belt switch - left signal circuit for an open or high resistance. Did you find and correct the condition?	Go to Step 8	Go to Step 6
6	Test the seat belt switch - left ground circuit for an open or high resistance. Did you find and correct the condition?	Go to Step 8	Go to Step 7
7	Replace the seat belt switch - LF. Refer to Seat Belt Buckle Pretensioner Replacement . Did you complete the replacement?	Go to Step 8	-
8	Operate the system in order to verify the repair. Did you find and correct the condition?	System OK	Go to Step 3
