Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2004 Pontiac Grand Prix. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
    IMPORTANT: If you are installing a lighter, remove the cover from the retainer.
  1. If necessary, remove the cover (1) from the retainer (2).
  2. Route the connector through the retainer. Align the retainer to the slot in the opening.

  3. Install the retainer by pressing into place until fully seated.
  4. Connect the electrical connector to the receptacle.

  5. Align the tabs on the receptacle to the slots in the retainer. Install the receptacle by pressing into place until fully seated.
  6. If a lighter was installed, install the element.

    If a power auxiliary outlet was installed, close the cover.

  7. Install the auxiliary power outlet fuse to the underhood fuse block.
