Content Theft Deterrent (CTD) Does Not Disarm with Key Lock

1	Did you perform the Theft Deterrent Diagnostic System Check?	Go to Step 2	Go to Diagnostic System Check - Theft Deterrent
2	Remove the key from the ignition. Lock the vehicle doors with the remote keyless entry (RKE) transmitter. Close all doors and allow the content theft deterrent (CTD) system to arm. Use the key to unlock the vehicle, holding the key cylinder in the unlock position for 5 seconds. Do all vehicle doors unlock? 3	Does the CTD system disarm when the doors are unlocked?	Go to Step 4	Go to Step 9
4	Close all of the vehicle doors and re-arm the CTD system. Use the key to unlock and open the rear compartment lid. Does the CTD system disarm when the rear compartment is unlocked?	Go to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections in Wiring Systems	Go to Step 5
5	Disconnect the harness connector of the rear compartment lid lock cylinder. Leaving the rear compartment lid open, close the rear compartment lid latch. Re-arm the CTD system. Connect a 3 amp fused jumper wire from the signal circuit of the rear compartment lid lock cylinder switch to the ground circuit of the rear compartment lid lock cylinder at the rear compartment lid harness connector. Does the CTD system disarm when the jumper wire is connected?	Go to Step 10	Go to Step 6
6	Connect the 3 amp fused jumper wire from the signal circuit of the rear compartment lid lock cylinder switch harness connector to a good ground. Does the CTD system disarm when the jumper wire is connected?	Go to Step 7	Go to Step 8
7	Repair the open or high resistance in the ground circuit of the rear compartment lid lock cylinder. Refer to Circuit Testing and Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems. Did you find and correct the condition?	Go to Step 13	-
8	Test the signal circuit of the rear compartment lid lock cylinder for an open or high resistance. Refer to Circuit Testing and Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems. Did you find and correct the condition?	Go to Step 13	Go to Step 9
9	Inspect for loose or poor connections at the harness connector of the body control module (BCM). Refer to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections and Connector Repairs in Wiring Systems. Did you find and correct the condition?	Go to Step 13	Go to Step 11
10	Inspect for loose or poor connections at the harness connector of the rear compartment lid lock cylinder. Refer to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections and Connector Repairs in Wiring Systems. Did you find and correct the condition?	Go to Step 13	Go to Step 12
11	Replace the BCM. Refer to Body Control Module Replacement in Body Control System. Did you complete the repair?	Go to Step 13	-
