Removal Procedure

    IMPORTANT: When removing any switch, the ignition switch must be in the OFF position. This will eliminate the possibility of shorting out the switch when using a metal tool to remove the switch from the wiring harness.
  1. Remove the door trim panel. Refer to Trim Panel Replacement - Side Front Door in Doors.
  2. Disengage the electrical connector from the rear compartment lid switch (1).

  3. Using a small, flat-bladed tool, remove the lid switch from the mounting bezel.
