Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the rear compartment sill plate. Refer to Compartment Sill Plate Replacement - Rear .
  2. Remove the rear bumper fascia. Refer to Fascia Replacement - Rear Bumper in Bumpers.
  3. Use a grease pencil to mark the location of the rear compartment lid lock striker to the rear compartment for its location at installation.
  4. Remove the rear compartment lid lock striker bolts (1) from the striker (2).
  5. Remove the rear compartment lid lock striker (2) from the vehicle.
