Removal Procedure

  1. Raise the rear compartment lid.
  2. Place the protective coverings over the adjacent body panels.
  3. Use a grease pencil to mark the hinge to the rear compartment lid for the location at installation.
  4. Disconnect all electrical connectors from the rear compartment lid harness.

  5. Remove the rubber height adjustment bumpers.
  6. Remove the rear compartment lid latch. Refer to Latch Replacement - Rear Compartment Lid .
  7. Service replacement lids do not have a key cylinder slot.
  8. Remove the rear compartment lock cylinder.
  9. Remove the rear spoiler, if equipped. Refer to Spoiler Replacement - Rear .
  10. Remove the nuts from the rear compartment lid hinges with an assistant.

  11. Remove the rear compartment lid with an assistant.
