Engine ID and VIN Derivative Location

The primary vehicle identification number (VIN) derivative for the 3800 - L26 and 3800 - L32 is stamped or laser etched on the left side of the engine block above the starter motor (1).

The secondary vehicle identification number (VIN) derivative for the 3800 - L26 and 3800 - L32 is stamped or laser etched below the water pump on the engine block (1).
