Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the fuel injector sight shield. Refer to Fuel Injector Sight Shield Replacement (L26) or Fuel Injector Sight Shield Replacement (L32) in Engine Mechanical - 3.8L.
  2. Remove the boost control solenoid (4). Refer to Boost Control Solenoid Replacement .

  3. Remove the vacuum hose from the bypass valve actuator (2).
  4. Remove the bypass valve actuator mounting bolts and rotate the bypass valve actuator until the rod disengages the lever.
