Installation Procedure

  1. Align the I/P passenger knee bolster the I/P carrier (cross car beam).

    Inboard bolster shown, outboard bolster similar.

    2. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  2. Start the bolts by hand to avoid cross threading. Install the I/P passenger knee bolster bolts.

    Tighten:  Tighten the bolts to 10 N.m (89 lb in).

  3. Outboard bolster only. Connect the wiring harness retainers (1, 2) to the I/P passenger knee bolster.

  4. Outboard bolster only. Install the I/P accessory wiring junction block. Refer to Junction Block Replacement - Accessory Wiring in Wiring Systems.
  5. Install the I/P trim pad. Refer to Trim Pad Replacement - Instrument Panel (I/P) .
