Removal Procedure

  1. Use a plastic trim tool to remove the ignition switch bezel.

  2. Pull the I/P accessory trim plate rearward slightly for access to the steering column filler. Refer to Trim Plate Replacement - Instrument Panel (I/P) Accessory .
  3. Remove the I/P steering column filler. Refer to Steering Column Filler Replacement .
  4. Remove the knee bolster screws at the lower I/P trim pad.

  5. Remove the knee bolster bolts at the I/P carrier cross car beam.

  6. Remove the harness retainer from the knee bolster. Remove the driver side knee bolster.
