Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2004 Pontiac Grand Prix. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Align the I/P center compartment locator to the opening in the vehicle location antenna module bracket.
    2. Fig 1: I/P Center Compartment Locator

  2. Install the I/P center compartment to the I/P.
    3. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  3. Install the I/P center compartment screws.

    Tighten:  Tighten the screws to 2 N.m (18 lb in).

  4. Shift the transaxle to P.
  5. Press to release the park brake.
  6. Install the I/P accessory trim plate. Refer to Trim Plate Replacement - Instrument Panel (I/P) Accessory  in Instrument Panel, Gages and Console.
  7. Install the ignition switch bezel.
