Change Oil Soon

The DIC illuminates the CHANGE OIL SOON message in the driver information center (DIC) when the PCM determines that the engine oil life is less than 5 percent. The PCM sends a class 2 message to the DIC requesting illumination. After the oil is changed, reset the engine oil monitor. Refer to Driver Information Center (DIC) Description and Operation  in Instrument Panel, Gages, and Console.
