Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2004 Pontiac Grand Prix. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

Position the upper trim panel to the center pillar.
For vehicles without the air bag panel, align the clips and press in until fully seated.
For vehicles equipped with the air bag panel, use the following procedure:
- Swing out the lower edge until the panel is at a 45-degree angle with the center pillar.
- Engage the T-hook (1).
- Slide the T-hook up and swing the panel down to the installed position.

Press firmly on the upper trim panel until the clips (2) are fully seated.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

Install the guide loop attachment bolt (1).
Tighten: Tighten the bolt to 42 N.m (31 lb ft).

Close the attachment cover on the upper guide loop of the front seat belt.
Install the door weather-strip.
