Removal Procedure

    IMPORTANT: Do not attempt repairs in order to correct lock cylinder discrepancies. Replace the lock cylinder.
  1. Remove the front door trim panel. Refer to Trim Panel Replacement - Side Front Door .
  2. Remove the front door water deflector. Refer to Water Deflector Replacement - Front Door .
  3. Remove the front door outside handle. Refer to Door Handle Replacement - Front Outside .
  4. Remove the lock paw retaining clip (7).
  5. Remove the locking rod (6).
  6. Remove the lock cylinder paw (5).
  7. Remove the lock cylinder retaining clip (3).
  8. Remove the lock cylinder (4) from the outside door handle.

    Pull rearward on the lock cylinder to remove it from the handle.
