Removal Procedure

  1. Open the door.
  2. Remove the rear door trim pad. Refer to Trim Panel Replacement - Side Rear Door .
  3. Remove the rear door water deflector. Refer to Water Deflector Replacement - Rear Door .
  4. Grasp the energy absorber pad (1) with both hands and pull rearward to release it from the door. If necessary, warm the inner door panel to soften the adhesive.

  5. Remove the inner energy absorber pad (1) from the door.
