Removal Procedure

    NOTE: Refer to Paint Damage Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  1. Apply masking tape to the fender and door edges.
  2. Open the door.
  3. Remove the rear door trim panel. Refer to Trim Panel Replacement - Side Rear Door .
  4. Remove the rear door water deflector. Refer to Water Deflector Replacement - Rear Door .
  5. Remove the rear door inner energy absorber pad. Refer to Energy Absorber Pad Replacement - Inner Rear .
  6. Remove the rear door inner window sealing strip. Refer to Sealing Strip Replacement - Rear Door Window Belt Inner .
  7. Remove the rear door outer window sealing strip. Refer to Sealing Strip Replacement - Rear Door Window Belt Outer .
  8. Remove the rear door window weatherstrip. Refer to Weatherstrip Replacement - Rear Door Window .
  9. Remove the rear door frame applique. Refer to Door Frame Applique/Run channel Replacement - Rear .
  10. Remove the rear door stationary window with the weatherstrip. Refer to Window Replacement - Rear Door Stationary .
  11. Remove the rear door window channel retainer. Refer to Window Channel Retainer Replacement - Rear Door .
  12. Remove the rear door window. Refer to Window Replacement - Rear Door .
  13. Remove the rear door window regulator. Refer to Window Regulator Replacement - Rear Door .
  14. Remove the lock rod guide block. Refer to Handle Lock Rod Guide Block Replacement .
  15. Remove the rear door inside door handle. Refer to Door Handle Replacement - Rear Inside .
  16. Remove the rear door outside door handle. Refer to Door Handle Replacement - Rear Outside .
  17. Remove the rear door lock. Refer to Lock Replacement - Rear Door .
  18. Remove the rear door body side molding. Refer to Molding Replacement - Body Side in Exterior Trim.
  19. Remove the electrical harness from the door.
  20. Remove the rear door rubber conduit. Refer to Rubber Conduit Replacement - Rear Door .
  21. Support the rear door.
  22. Remove the door side hinge bolts in the specified sequence (1, 2, 3, 4). Refer to Door Adjustment - Rear

  23. Remove the door with the aid of an assistant.
