DEFINITION: Courtesy lamps are inoperative from the key fob.
1 Did you perform the Lighting System Diagnostic System Check? Go to Step 2  Go to Diagnostic System Check - Lighting Systems

  1. Turn OFF the ignition.
  2. Lock all of the vehicle's doors.
  3. Close all of the vehicle's doors.
  4. Wait 20 seconds.
  5. Press the unlock button on the remote keyless entry transmitter.
Do the courtesy lamps illuminate?		 Go to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections in Wiring Systems Go to Step 3 
3 Does the driver's door unlock? Go to Step 4  Go to Symptoms - Keyless Entry in Keyless Entry

IMPORTANT: Perform the set up procedure for the body control module. Refer to Body Control Module (BCM) Programming/RPO Configuration in Body Control System.
Replace the body control module. Refer to Body Control Module Replacement in Body Control System.Did you complete the replacement?		 Go to Step 5  -
5 Operate the system in order to verify the repair.
Did you correct the condition?		 System OK Go to Step 3
