Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the left instrument panel (I/P) insulator. Refer to Closeout/Insulator Panel Replacement - Left .
  2. Remove the bolts from the bottom of the steering column filler.
    3. Fig 1: Identifying Steering Column Filler

  3. Pull the steering column filler rearward and upward, releasing the retaining clips from the I/P.
  4. Disconnect the electrical connector from the driver information center (DIC), if equipped.
  5. Remove the steering column filler.
