DTC B1000: Instrument Panel Cluster Malfunction In Instrument Panel Control System: Description

Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC) performs an internal test to test integrity of IPC system operation. DTC B1000 will set If IPC is unsuccessful at verifying integrity of its operation. When DTC B1000 is set, SERVICE VEHICLE SOON indicator will illuminate.

A current DTC B1000 becomes a history DTC after an ignition cycle. A history DTC B1000 will clear after 100 consecutive ignition cycles if condition for setting DTC is no longer present. DTC will also clear when scan tool is used to clear DTCs.
