Test U: Low Tire Pressure Indicator Always On

NOTE: Low Tire Pressure Monitor (TPM) may also be referred to as low Tire Inflation Monitor (TIM).
  1. If tire pressure monitoring system diagnostic system check has been performed, go to next step. If tire pressure monitoring system diagnostic system check has not been performed, perform tire pressure monitoring system diagnostic system check. See TIRE PRESSURE MONITORING SYSTEM DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK  under SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM.
  2. Turn ignition switch to OFF position. Observe LOW TIRE indicator. Turn ignition switch to RUN position. If LOW TIRE indicator does not illuminate then go off during displays test, go to next step. If LOW TIRE indicator illuminates then go off during displays test, go to DIAGNOSING INTERMITTENTS  .
  3. Replace Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC). See INSTRUMENT PANEL CLUSTER  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. After repair, go to next step.
  4. Operate system to verify repair. If system does not operate properly, go to step  2 . If system operates properly, system is okay.
