DTC C1261, DTC C1262, DTC C1263, DTC C1264, DTC C1265, DTC C1266, DTC C1267, DTC C1268: Commanded State Of Driver And Actual State Of Control Circuit Does Not Match (Except "W" Body)

  1. Perform diagnostic system check. See DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK  under DIAGNOSIS & TESTING. After performing diagnostic system check, go to next step.
  2. Install scan tool. Turn ignition, with engine off. Using scan tool, clear DTCs and perform automated test. Recheck DTCs. If DTC resets as current DTC, go to next step. If DTC does not reset, problem is intermittent. See INTERMITTENTS & POOR CONNECTIONS  under DIAGNOSIS & TESTING.
  3. Replace EBCM. After replacing EBCM, go to next step.
  4. Using scan tool, clear DTCs, then perform automated test again. If DTC resets, go to step  2. If DTC does not reset, system is okay.
