Preliminary Inspection

Verify customer's complaint. Before performing any testing, perform a visual inspection. Check HORN fuse (15-amp) located in underhood fuse block. See Fig 1 or Fig 2 . Check connectors for loose, damaged or corroded terminals. Check for damaged wiring harness. Repair as necessary. If no problem is found, perform self-diagnostics. See SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM  . If no DTCs exist, diagnose by symptom. See SYMPTOM INDEX  table under SYSTEM TESTS.
