Instrument Panel Cluster: Tachometer

IPC displays engine speed as determined by Powertrain Control Module (PCM). IPC receives a class 2 message from PCM indicating engine speed. Tachometer will default to "0" RPM if PCM detects a malfunction in engine speed sensor circuit or if IPC detects a loss of class 2 communications with PCM.
