Instrument Panel Cluster: Speedometer

IPC displays vehicle speed based on information from Powertrain Control Module (PCM). PCM converts data from Vehicle Speed Sensor (VSS) to a 4000 pulses per mile signal. IPC uses VSS circuit from PCM to calculate vehicle speed. Speedometer defaults to "0" mph if a malfunction in VSS circuit is detected.
