Park Brake Reminder

BCM activates park brake audible warning chime as requested by IPC. IPC sends a class 2 message to BCM indicating chime frequency (medium rate) and duration (continuous). Park brake warning sounds and BRAKE indicator illuminates when following conditions are met:

• Ignition switch is in RUN position.
• Vehicle is not in Park. IPC receives a class 2 message from PCM indicating gear position.
• IPC determines that park brake is engaged (signal circuit is low). IPC receives a class 2 message from BCM indicating park brake status.
