Limit Switches

Limit switches are part of Position Encoding System (PES) that tracks position of glass through limit switches and understands limits (soft stops) of travel to the full vent and full open position. Power sun roof control module monitors limit switches. As a limit switch closes, power sun roof limit switch circuit 5-volt reference will be shorted to power sun roof limit switch low reference circuit, pulling reference voltage to zero volts. Power sun roof control module understands position of power sun roof glass based on multiple input combinations through limit switch inputs, which brings power sun roof glass to a soft stop when it reaches full vent or full open positions and when it has reached closed position.
