Removal Procedure

  1. Open the rear compartment.

  2. Disconnect all of the electrical connectors to the electrical components that are attached to the lid.
  3. Tie a string to the rear compartment lid wire harness. Ensure that the string is long enough to allow you to feed the harness back through the rear compartment lid.
  4. Pull the harness wire out of the rear compartment lid and remove the string.
  5. Remove the push-in retainer from the hinge.
  6. Loosen the rear compartment trim as required to access the rear compartment lid harness.
  7. Disconnect the harness in the rear compartment.
  8. Remove the harness.
