Test Description

The numbers below refer to the step numbers on the diagnostic table.

  1. 2.  Listen for an audible click when the backup lamp relay operates. Command both the ON and OFF states. Repeat the commands as necessary.
  2. 3.  Verifies that the BCM is providing ground to the backup lamp relay. Indicating a short to voltage internal to the backup lamp relay.
  3. 4.  Tests for a short to voltage at control circuit of the backup lamp relay.
