Instrument Panel Cluster: Notes

The Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC) uses an analog engine coolant temperature gauge, fuel gauge, odometer/trip odometer, speedometer and tachometer. Indicators include: air bag, ANTI-LOCK, BRAKE, CHANGE OIL SOON, charging system, CRUISE, DOOR/TRUNK, FUEL, high beam, LOW COOLANT, LOW OIL, low oil pressure, LOW TIRE, LOW TRAC, LOW WASH, PRND321, seat belt, SECURITY, SERVICE ENGINE SOON, SERVICE VEHICLE SOON, TEMP, TRAC OFF, turn signal and exterior lighting indicators. One version of instrument cluster is available for Century and 2 versions are available for Regal. See Figure -Figure .

Regal 3.8L VIN 1 models have an optional Driver Information Center (DIC) which includes a boost indicator. DIC also calculates and displays Average (AVE) fuel economy, Instantaneous (INST) fuel economy and OIL LIFE RANGE. DIC has 3 control buttons. MODE button changes mode being displayed. Pressing RESET button for one second resets mode displayed. Pressing E/M button changes English to Metric units or Metric to English units.
