DTC B1000: Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC) Malfunction: Description

Instrument panel cluster performs an internal test periodically to test the integrity of the system operation. If of internal test will cause DTC B1000 to be set.

Under all fault conditions, a current DTC B1000 requires an ignition cycle to become a history code. If conditions for malfunction no longer exist, history DTC will clear after 100 consecutive ignition cycles. DTC B1000 will also clear when scan tool is used to clear codes.
