Brake Warning Indicator Does Not Come On When Parking Brake Is Set

  1. Connect scan tool. Using scan tool, command instrument cluster to turn on BRAKE indicator. If BRAKE indicator does not illuminate, go to next step. If BRAKE indicator illuminates, locate and repair problem in BCM system. See appropriate BODY CONTROL MODULES article.
  2. Replace instrument cluster. See INSTRUMENT CLUSTER  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Recheck system operation.
