Anti-Lock, Low TRAC, TRAC Off Or Low Tire Indicator Malfunctioning
- If instrument cluster diagnostic system check was performed, go to next step. If instrument cluster diagnostic system check was not performed, go to INSTRUMENT CLUSTER DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK under SYSTEM TESTS.
- Connect scan tool. Using scan tool, check for instrument cluster DTCs. If no DTCs exist, go to next step. If any DTCs exist, go to SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM .
- Turn ignition switch to RUN position. Using scan tool, command faulty indicator to turn on. If indicator illuminates, go to next step. If indicator does not illuminate, go to step 5 .
- Ensure ignition switch is in RUN position. Using scan tool, command faulty indicator to turn off. If indicator illuminates, go to next step. If indicator does not illuminate, locate and repair problem in ABS or traction control system. See appropriate ANTI-LOCK/TCS article in BRAKES.
- Replace instrument cluster. See INSTRUMENT CLUSTER under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Recheck system operation.
