Instrument Cluster Inoperative

  1. Turn ignition off. Disconnect instrument cluster connector C1. Measure resistance between connector C1 terminals E7 (Black/White wire), E12 (Black wire), and F12 (Black wire) and ground. See Figure. If all measurements are 5 ohms or less, go to next step. If all measurements are not 5 ohms or less, repair open circuit in Black/White or Black wires.
  2. Measure voltage between instrument cluster connector C1 terminals E14 (Orange wire) and F14 (Orange wire) and ground. If about battery voltage is present for both measurements, go to next step. If about battery voltage is not present for both measurements, repair open circuit in Orange wire.
  3. Turn ignition on. Measure voltage between connector C1 terminals E15 (Pink wire) and F15 (Pink wire) and ground. If about battery voltage is present for each measurement, replace instrument cluster. See INSTRUMENT CLUSTER  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. If about battery voltage is not present for each measurement, repair open or short circuit to ground in Pink wire.
