Removal & Installation (1999)
- Remove caliper. See REAR BRAKE CALIPER . See Figure. With caliper removed from the vehicle, remove rattle clips and remove pads.
- Bottom piston in caliper bore using a "C" clamp and a metal plate (or wooden block) across piston face. Clean caliper bolts. Use silicone grease to lube unthreaded portions of caliper bolts.
- Install new pads with the wear sensors on outside, trailing edge of pad downward. Reinstall caliper and tighten caliper bolts to 32 ft. lbs. (43 N.m). Slowly depress brake pedal to seat brake pads.
