LOW OIL Indicator Inoperative, Oil Level Low
- Disconnect low oil level sensor. Start engine and allow to idle. If LOW OIL indicator is on, replace low oil level sensor. If LOW OIL indicator is not on, go to next step.
- Turn ignition off. Disconnect PCM. Connect fused (3-amp) jumper wire between low oil level input terminal of PCM connector and ground. See PCM CONNECTOR OIL LEVEL INPUT . Turn ignition on. If LOW OIL indicator comes on, check PCM for poor connection. Check low oil level sensor input circuit for a short to ground. If connections and circuit are okay, replace PCM.
- If LOW OIL indicator does not come on, check bulb, bulb connector and instrument cluster connector. If all circuits are okay, replace IPC.
