Disassembly (Trilobal Tripot Joint)

  1. Cut boot clamps and discard. See Fig 1 . DO NOT  cut through boot, as it may damage sealing surface of outer housing and trilobal tripot bushing.
  2. Separate boot from trilobal tripot bushing and slide away from joint. Remove housing from spider and shaft. Spread spacer ring, and slide spacer ring and spider back on axle shaft.
  3. Remove shaft retainer ring from groove at end of axle shaft. Slide spider assembly off shaft. Remove trilobal tripot bushing from housing. Remove spacer ring and boot from axle.
