Instrument Panel Cluster Diagnostic System Check

Turn ignition on with front doors closed, safety belts unbuckled and park brake off. IPC performs bulb check. Following indicators will illuminate briefly; ABS, BRAKE, SERVICE ENGINE SOON, SERVICE VEHICLE SOON, VOLTS, OIL, CRUISE, high temperature indicator on temperature gauge, low fuel indicator on fuel gauge and MPH-km/h. SEAT BELT will illuminate for 4-8 seconds. AIR BAG will flash 7 times. TRAC OFF will illuminate briefly (if equipped). If indicator lights operate as specified, IPC diagnostic system check is complete. If indicator lights do not operate as specified, go to SYMPTOM TESTS  .
