Fuel Gauge Does Not Operate Properly
- Connect scan tool. Turn ignition on. Check for any DTCs. If DTCs B0530, B0532 or B0533 are set, see appropriate DTC test under SYSTEM TESTS. If no DTCs are present, go to next step.
- Select IPC Data Menu display of scan tool. If fuel level of scan tool indicates correct amount of fuel in gas tank, replace IPC. If fuel level of scan tool does not indicate correct amount of fuel in gas tank, go to next step.
- Turn ignition off. Disconnect IPC connector. Measure resistance between terminals B7 and B17 of IPC connector. See Figure . Refer to FUEL LEVEL RESISTANCE CHART to determine if resistance reading correctly indicates amount of fuel in gas tank. If measurement matches amount of fuel in gas tank, replace IPC. If measurement does not match amount of fuel in gas tank, replace fuel level sender unit.
