No Compass Display

  1. If diagnostic system check was performed, go to next step. If diagnostic system check was not performed, go to DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK  .
  2. Disconnect automatic day/night mirror connector. Connect test light between automatic day/night mirror harness connector terminals No. 1 (Brown wire) and No. 2 (Black/White wire). If test light illuminates, go to next step. If test light does not illuminate, go tostep 4).
  3. Replace automatic day/night mirror. See REARVIEW MIRROR  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Perform DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK  .
  4. Check for short in Brown wire between automatic day/night mirror, rear bussed electrical center (located under right side of rear seat), and instrument panel bussed electrical center (located near rear of glove box). Check for short in Black/White wire between automatic day/night mirror and ground. Repair circuit as necessary. Perform DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK  .
