Volts Indicator Is On

Connect scan tool. Turn ignition on. Select IPC data menu. If VOLTS input of scan tool is ON, diagnose charging system fault. See GENERATOR & REGULATOR article in ELECTRICAL section. If VOLTS input of scan tool is OFF and VOLTS indicator of dash is illuminated, replace IPC.
