Temperature Gauge Does Not Operate Properly

Connect scan tool. Turn ignition on. Select IPC data menu. If COOLANT TEMPERATURE reading of scan tool is same as gauge of IPC, see appropriate BASIC TESTING - 3.8L article in ENGINE PERFORMANCE section. If COOLANT TEMPERATURE reading of scan tool is not same as coolant temperature reading of gauge on IPC, replace IPC.
