High Temperature Indicator Is On

Connect scan tool. Turn ignition on. Select IPC data menu. If COOLANT HOT input of scan tool is ON, diagnose cooling system fault. See appropriate BASIC TESTING - 3.8L article in ENGINE PERFORMANCE section. If COOLANT HOT input of scan tool is OFF and High Temperature indicator of dash is illuminated, replace IPC.
