Valve Lifters: Removal

  1. Remove intake manifold. See INTAKE MANIFOLD  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Remove rocker arms and push rods. See ROCKER ARMS & PUSH RODS  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION.
  2. Remove valve lifter guide and valve lifters. See Figure. Mark component locations for reassembly reference.
