Torque Axis Engine Mount: Installation

NOTE: Numbers in parenthesis refer to the numbers in illustrations.
  1. Attach the torque axis engine mount bracket assembly (190) to the front of the engine using 2 bolts (191) and a nut (189). See Figure and TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
  2. Replace the 2 upper bolts (185) previously removed from the torque axis (front) engine mount, and attach the mount (187) and plastic clip (186) for air conditioning lines. See Figure and TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
  3. Tighten the 2 lower bolts (188) that were previously loosened on the torque axis (front) engine mount (187). See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
  4. Adjust the engine height to align the torque mount (184) with the torque axis mount bracket (182). See Figure.
  5. Insert the through bolt (181) and attaching retaining nut (183). Torque to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
  6. Install accessory drive belt(s). See DRIVE BELT ROUTING article.
  7. Remove Engine Support Fixture (J 28467-A).
  8. Attach the negative battery cable to the battery.
