Removal & Installation: Supercharger: Removal

  1. Release fuel pressure. See FUEL PRESSURE RELEASE  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Disconnect negative battery cable. Drain cooling system. Remove accessory drive belt from supercharger pulley. Remove fuel injector sight shield.
  2. Disconnect fuel pipes from fuel rail and vacuum hose at fuel pressure regulator. Disconnect electrical connectors from fuel injectors, Idle Air Control (IAC) valve, Throttle Position Sensor (TPS), Mass Airflow (MAF) sensor, EGR and boost control solenoid, and position aside.
  3. Remove air intake duct. Remove EGR pipe, throttle and cruise control cables from supercharger. Remove cable bracket.
    NOTE: Remove tensioner bracket-to-supercharger stud to allow supercharger to clear lower intake locator pins.
  4. Remove tensioner bracket-to-supercharger stud using a stud remover or jam-nut procedure. Remove supercharger bolts, supercharger, gasket and coolant passage "O" rings.
