Intake Manifold: Removal

  1. Release fuel pressure. See FUEL PRESSURE RELEASE  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Disconnect negative battery cable. Drain cooling system. Remove air intake duct and air cleaner assembly.
  2. Remove spark plug wires and fuel rail. Remove exhaust crossover heat shield and power steering pump bracket. Remove serpentine belt, alternator and alternator bracket. Remove cable bracket, heater pipes and bypass hose. Remove intake manifold bolts, manifold, gaskets and seals.
