Intake Manifold: Installation

  1. Ensure sealing surfaces and bolt threads and holes are clean. Apply GM Sealant (12345336) at the end of seals on cylinder block. Install manifold and gaskets. Coat bolt threads with thread sealant and install.
  2. Tighten intake manifold bolts in sequence TWICE to specification. See Fig 1. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS . Lubricate coolant "O" rings with antifreeze and fuel rail "O" rings with engine oil prior to installation. To complete installation, reverse removal procedure. Fill cooling system.
