Crankshaft Rear Oil Seal: Installation

  1. Apply engine oil to seal. Install seal using Seal Installer (J-38196). Align dowel pin of installer with dowel pin hole in crankshaft. Tighten installer screws to 60 INCH lbs. (7 N.m).
  2. Rotate handle of installer until collar is tight against case. Remove seal installer. To complete installation, reverse removal procedure.
