"Lights On" Indicator Test

  1. Check headlight operation. If headlights do not operate, headlight diagnosis is necessary. If headlights are okay, select BCM input BI78 and operate headlight switch. See BCM DIAGNOSIS PROCEDURE  .
  2. With headlight switch on, display should indicate HI. With headlight switch off, display should indicate LO.
  3. If the displays are correct and the LIGHTS ON indicator still does not operate, replace BCM. If the display does not read HI with headlights on, check Yellow wire, left switch assembly and BCM terminal contact for an open. If items are okay, replace BCM.
  4. If the display does not read LO with headlights off, check Yellow wire for a short to voltage. If Yellow wire is okay, replace BCM.
