Display Indicates "HI" With Switch Depressed

  1. If display indicates "HI" with tachometer switch depressed, remove right tachometer switch assembly. Connect a jumper wire between terminals No. 2 (White wire) and No. 7 (Black/White wire) of right switch assembly connector.
  2. If display indicates "HI", proceed to step 3). If display indicates "LO", check all connections. If connections are good, replace right switch assembly.
  3. Connect a jumper wire between terminal No. 2 (White wire) of right switch assembly and ground. If display indicates "HI", proceed to step 4). If display indicates "LO", repair Black/White wire from terminal No. 7.
  4. Remove IPC and connect an ohmmeter between IPC terminal D13 and right switch assembly terminal No. 2. If zero ohms is measured, replace IPC after checking for good terminal contact.
  5. If infinite resistance is measured, check and repair White wire from terminal No. 2.
